Relationships Training Course

This interactive and participatory course gives you the skills and techniques to run great workshops, lessons, or one to one interventions on relationships.

Young people often say that they would like their SRE curriculum to include more work around relationships. We all learn about relationships from each other and from our own relationships. Yet we all get stuck in patterns, or end up in relationships that aren’t great, or feel lonely, or have our hearts broken. Wouldn’t it have been great if we had been given some tools to help us through our relationship life?

This training course offers just that. A very practical and interactive course with lots of tools to help us to think about our relationships and to learn how we can pass these tools on to young people we work with. This course is packed with activities that are also solution focused – learning from one relationship to bring to others.

A safe and friendly environment where we can talk about relationships

Apply critical thinking to relationship should stories

Learn about different relationship models and different kinds of love

Unique tools and strategies to bring in the possibilities for more intentional and consensual relationships

How seeing love as something we do and not just say, holds the possibility for social transformation

Participants will also receive a unique resource pack with practical activities to use with young people in both group and one-to-one settings. This includes the relationships graph, which is a very popular and useful resource with young people. Have a look at some of the other resources that I have for young people at BISH.

This course is for anyone working with young people around relationships: youth workers, teachers, learning mentors, counsellors, pastoral staff, clinicians, health advisers, etc.
